We raced the Traka last year and were so impressed with the event that some of you asked to come back with us in 2025. It's way more than just gravel races (of which there are many...), the Traka is a festival and celebration of all things gravel riding. In addition to the racing you'll find live music, bars and café, a fantastic finisher's meal and a full race village for merch, spares and more.

Whether you're racing the 50km, the 100km or the 200km the group will ride together in the days leading up to the event, stay together at a house in Girona, then either start the race alongside you or be there to cheer you in at the finish.

Tour itinerary

Tuesday 29th April, afternoon: group meets at Girona. Collections at Girona airport, Girona train station and Girona old town. Transfer to Pyrenees Cycling Club farmhouse for bike setup. Evening gravel ride to shake out your legs. Homemade dinner, meet the group and relax

Wednesday 30th April: after a homemade cyclists' breakfast, we head out on a guided gravel ride to explore the Haut Vallespir area of French catalunya. We will ride trails that are similar in surface and gradient to the terrain of the Traka races. Plunge those legs into the cold pool and relive the day's adventure over a home cooked dinner.

Thursday 1st May : Home made breakfast. Another full day of guided gravel riding in the Haut Vallespir. Typically 60% tarmac; 40% unsurfaced tracks as you will find on Traka weekend in Girona. We will look at bike setup including tyres pressures and your hydration & fuelling strategy. Home made dinner followed by toasted marshmallows while stargazing around the fire pit.

Friday 2nd May: after breakfast we transfer to our accommodation at Can Feliu in Girona. It's an old Catalan stone house with balcony and will be our base for the Traka weekend. Guided gravel ride to check out Girona's beautiful gravel tracks, in particular the first part of the race routes. Home made dinner at the house followed by evening in Girona's old town. If you like good coffee, bike shops and old cities, you won't be disappointed!

Saturday 3rd May: race day for guests riding the Traka 200km. After a homemade breakfast at the house, we ride down to the start/festival area and prepare you for a day of adventure. For those of you riding the 200km, we will be waiting for you with a cold drink at the finish line. In the event village there is food, music, bike mechanics and more. Soak up the festival atmosphere. If you're not racing today, there's a self guided gravel ride showing off the best of Girona's trails. In the afternoon we all regroup to relive our adventures and congratulate the 200km riders. Followed by home made dinner back at Can Feliu. Free evening in Girona, or chill out on the balcony, either in recovery from today or preparation for tomorrow.

Sunday 4th May: race day for the Traka 50km and Traka 100km. Allow Chris & Vicky, your soigneurs, to take over your race day prep so you can focus on relaxing and having fun. Breakfast, spare clothing, race nutrition and hydration; we look after it all for you. During the 50km and 100km events, those who rode the 200km yesterday can enjoy a recovery ride to the beach (GPX supplied) or do a local ride that finishes at the Traka event village and cheer in your buddies. Sunday evening, transfer back to Girona airport and train station for return travel. If you need to stay at Pyrenees CC another night, just ask and we can add on an additional night of B&B.
